At our practice, we are committed to ensuring a safe and efficient process for managing prescription requests. Please review the following guidelines pertaining to our prescribing policy:

 Early Prescription Requests:

• Medications with a One-Month or Longer Supply: Patients are permitted to request repeat prescriptions up to 7 days prior to the depletion of their current supply.
• Essential Medications (e.g., Painkillers): These may be requested up to 3 days in advance to ensure uninterrupted treatment.

 Restrictions on Certain Medications:

• Antibiotics and Steroids (including Rescue Packs): These medications cannot be requested through our repeat prescription service. An appointment with a healthcare provider is mandatory for these medications at all times.

 Request Methods:

• Telephone Requests: We do not accept prescription requests via telephone.
• Ordering Methods:
• Via Pharmacy: Patients may contact their pharmacy to request medication.
• In-Person: Patients can submit a written request at the surgery or their pharmacy.
• Online: The most convenient method is to order through the NHS app. For further information on using the app, please visit the Madryn House website.

 Medication Changes:

• Requests to alter medication dosages or to change medications entirely will not be processed without consultation. An appointment must be scheduled with an appropriate clinician to discuss any modifications to medication.
