Urgent advice: Proposal to reduce Healthy Prestatyn Iach’s Boundary

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

Proposal to reduce Healthy Prestatyn Iach’s Boundary

The Practice is aware of the proposals by our neighbouring practice, Healthy Prestatyn Iach (HPI), to change its boundary (geographical area it serves).  If the proposals go ahead, some of the current HPI Patients could be transferred to our Practice for their ongoing care.  We have been fully involved in the discussions about the proposed changes and we are supportive.  We see an opportunity to grow our patient numbers.  This could enable more investment in staff and in the services, we are able to offer.  The Practice is making plans to accommodate additional patients, should the proposals be agreed.  Any transfers would be planned and would take place early in 2027.

If you have any questions, please contact on 03000 851860.  The phone line will be staffed between 10am and 2pm Monday – Friday.  Outside these hours, you will be able to leave a voicemail message.

Cynnig i leihau dalgylch Practis Healthy Prestatyn Iach

Mae'r Practis hwn yn ymwybodol o’r cynigion gan bractis cyfagos, Healthy Prestatyn Iach (HPI), i newid ei ffiniau (yr ardal ddaearyddol y mae'n ei gwasanaethu). Os bydd y cynnig yn cael ei dderbyn, mae'n bosibl y bydd rhai o gleifion presennol HPI yn trosglwyddo i'n Practis ni ar gyfer eu gofal. Rydym wedi cymryd rhan lawn yn y trafodaethau ynghylch y newidiadau arfaethedig ac rydym yn gefnogol iddynt. Rydym yn gweld hyn fel cyfle i gynyddu nifer ein cleifion a allai ganiatáu i ni fuddsoddi mwy mewn staff, ac yn y gwasanaethau yr ydym yn gallu eu cynnig.  Mae'r Practis yn cynllunio ar gyfer y cleifion ychwanegol pe cytunir ar y cynigion.  Byddai unrhyw drosglwyddiadau wedi'u cynllunio ymlaen llaw a byddent yn digwydd yn gynnar yn 2027.

Social Media Policy

Patient Use of Social Media

Madryn House Surgery have a duty to protect our staff from online abuse which can be very upsetting. We encourage patients to feedback to the surgery through appropriate channels and we can then act on it as necessary. Legal advice will be sought and the appropriate action taken against any patient who posts defamatory comments.

Patients who are abusive to, or physically/ non-physically assault Practice Staff or other patients whilst in this practice will be removed from the practice list, this could also apply to those patients along registered at the same household. All circumstances will be considered, Mutual respect is expected at all times.”

There may be times when an inappropriate post has been put on a social media site by a patient, and they should be challenged on the content. It maybe that the post can be removed or altered by mutual agreement, If not then a decision has to be taken as to whether the post has breached any doctor patient relationship and whether that patient may need removing from the practice list.
